This cover has been specifically designed for those completing formal qualifications in the Childcare Industry.

There is an element of ‘Practical Work Experience’ that is required to be completed with a licensed Childcare Facility in order to successfully gain your qualification.

As you will not be classified as an employee whilst you are completing this practical Work Experience, you will be required to obtain your own Public Liability Insurance, which is where we can help you.

This policy covers you against all sums which you may become legally liable to pay by way of compensation as a result of Personal Injury or Property Damage which is connected with your Childcare Work Experience Activities, including the claimant’s legal costs and expenses.

Some scenarios which can occur in the course of your activities are;

A child is injured due to your negligent act – Eg, you may have left a gate open allowing a child to go through and hurt themselves (hit by a car).
Property is damaged due to your negligent act – Eg, you may accidently damage a parent’s vehicle.
